Orb (lite) Screensaver

macOS screensaver for collectors of Orb (lite) NFTs by Harm van den Dorpel

Rationale

What good is owning digital art that you can’t just hang on the wall and appreciate? Viewing NFTs is typically done through a web browser, by visiting and logging in to a marketplace, and thus requires the active intent of the viewer to do so.

For Harm van den Dorpel’s Orb (lite) series, we did away with all the extra steps and created a screensaver for collectors that displays the Orbs they currently hold. Each Orb is shown for one minute before the next, randomly chosen one, appears.

To use the screensaver, the owner first generates a PIN by which the code determines which tokens to load and display.
