Description

Custom backend service and configuration interface to set the parameters and manage the content of a generative audio-visual installation. The installation is controlled through a number of MQTT topics, which can be manipulated via a web application. Admin users can access the entire functionality, whereas regular user roles can only access a subset.

Components

  • Web Service:
    • Implements a protected API for the configuration app to interact with
    • Authentication is required to be able to talk to the API
    • Relays messages between the app and the MQTT broker
    • Acts as a video file server for the installation
  • Configuration App:
    • Selection of multiple content presets
    • Possibility to change the parameters of the currently active preset
    • Video upload and file management
    • Option to activate video or text overlays on the fly
    • Timed scheduling of video and text content
